Destiny’s new DLC brings Microtransactions

Don’t Worry, Destiny is not going Pay-To-Win

It’s official, the folks at Activision are introducing microtransactions in the next DLC update. According to Kotaku, Activision will not be selling large expansions this time around. Instead they’ll be giving away quests and various missions away for the Tess Everisbig cost of $0. That’s right, free. This is all part of their plan to build hype for Destiny 2 next fall.

In order to keep financing their operation, they are introducing the above mentioned micropayments. These will be used mostly for emotes and skins. This way you can become a true Lord of the Dance if your heart so desires.

The new Destiny micropayment system will be based on Silver. You can spend your Silver at Tess’s place. By Tess I mean the one and only Tess Everis. The update rolls out October 13th.
